Milano&Florence

Ive just returned from an educational trip to Italy with uni. I spent 2 days in Milan and 2 days in Florence. Out of the two I would have to say Florence was the nicer location for me.
We also had a short lecture at the Istituto Marangoni international fashion school which was really interesting.
Here are a few snap shots from the visit

A day in the dress

A day in the dress was a small project we had a uni where we were put into groups of 2 or 3, one of us had to be the model and the other has to be the photographer. We could only use a dress and we had 1 day to complete the shoot and have a finalised photograph. We were given an era to research and base our shoot on which we had the 60's. Our shoot was on Worthing Pier in the style of a shoot Vogue did with model Lara Stone on Brighton pier.
here are some of our final pictures.

This shoot was our finalised picture.

Meeting Gianaluca Longa

Back In September me and my house mates were invite to an event hosted by Peroni ( yess the beer!) It was an outdoor event in Jubile Square in Brighton. We had complimentary Peroni and little nibbles of Italian food. They had a special guest their Gianluca Longa , style director for the London evening standards magazine. We had the chance to have talk to him about 'fashion' as we are all fashion students. Ive finally found the pictures from the event and yes that is the back of my head below!!

Street style in Brighton!

soooo then...today I spent the day street blogging in and around Brighton. I found that the lanes was the best location where I found people with their own individual and unique style.

The young man i have photographed above is my favourite shot. I really like the way he was casually stood against the wall with his skateboard. He colour co-ordinated his hat and shoes to go with the board. i also like his band t-shirt 'The Smiths'

The tattoo's attracted me to next boy! my gosh... i love tattoos, and the shades. he just looked really cool strolling along with his shades on and a fag in one hand.

These two people were handing out flyer's promoting a vintage shop. I really liked the mans Dickie bow and the lady's hat. Accessory's seem to be attracting me to look twice at peoples outfits.

The grandad jumper! I really like knitted grandad jumpers. As winter is approaching i am sure I will see plenty more grandad jumpers around. I am also a fan of the boy's rolled up skinny jeans and plimsolls. 'purchased from topman of course'.

This couple caught my eye whilst walking through the busy lanes. I didn't get the chance to talk to them about their outfits as they were in a rush but on the bright side I did get a picture.

This man works in the lanes on a vintage stall. His coat was purchased from his stall and he said that his boots were vintage from beyond retro. His flicky out mustache suited his style, i believe this is called a 'painters brush' mustache.

This girl looked really cute in her long pleated pink dress. she has styled it with a vintage brown belt to add some style to the dress. i was also in love with the black leather boots also purchased from a vintage store.

This girl's outfit made me do a double take. I really like the way she is wearing neutral colours but the outfit stands out so well.

I quickly grabbed a picture of these three boys as i was sat eating a sandwich. They all have a very similar style but as their friends what do you expect.

Walking behind this lady on the pier, i couldn't help but stare at the back of her coat. After a long hard conversation trying to talk to her ( she was foreign) I thought her coat was a 'fold into a bag coat' but it wasn't. it gave the effect that it was thoe.

Wow this man looked so cool! His thick pin striped suit and top hat gave a real 19th century style.

last but not least these two men were playing music in the street. I wanted to take a picture of them as they looked really groovy playing their instruments.
