Matt finish acrylic nails

I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to the nails. There is no better feeling than having long nails. As i have small hands i feel that these acrylic nails give my hands a more feminine lady like look. These colour is a very deep burgundy which has been applied using a matt nail varnish. Then to complete the look I had a glossy nail varnish on the tips to create the shiny effect. Just need to keep up to date with getting the in-fills topped up when they grow out now.

Outfit post

Just another quick outfit post. It was one of my uni friends 21st birthday on Wednesday and we went for a birthday lunch at Donatello's in Brighton's Dukes Liane's. It was very frost outside so i wore a bowler hat to keep my head warm. It is from H&M borrowed from one of my house mates. (always a bonus being able to share and swap clothes). I then wore a black high neck top from a charity shop with my denim Levis shorts with a black belt. To complete the look i wore my must have item, my leather jacket. 

Levi's

This is just a quick outfit post on what I wore today. From top to bottom I am wearing my dad's old Levi's denim jacket. I suppose in one way you could call this 'vintage'. My new top £10 from republic which says 'live, love, fly' and has two eagles either side of the writing. My leggings are from Zara. I cant go anywhere with out these leggings they are my must have essential item because they are so thick and hold you in on the belly i call them my 'control pants'. My shoes are black platform plimsoles worn with some white socks. 

Student Lock In

The other day I went to a student lock in at Brighton's churchill square. There was 20% of in most stores but the queue's to buy anything were out of the doors. Anyway I did purchase this baggy tee from Topshop for £12. I have wore this top with River Island disco pants £30 and a classic pair of High top Converse and studded head band. 

Mark Ronson

The other night me and some of my house mate went to a night at coalition in Brighton where Mark Ronson was doing a DJ set. I wanted to go for more of a casual look for this night so i decided to go for an old pair of denim dungarees which is found whilst clearing my bedroom which are from Bay Trading.  I wore a plain black vest top underneath and matched it with a leather waistcoat and some black converse with socks.

Graduate Fashion Week

I was lucky enough to have the chance to work backstage at Graduate Fashion Week on Monday 11th June with the Northbrook catwalk show at Earls Court in London. Here are a few sneaky pictures from behind the scenes.

I also had an exhibition pass where I could walk around Earls court and view the Graduates exhibitions. Each University had their own exhibition.

 The two pictures about are the outside of the Istituto Maragonim exhibition, which is the fashion school which I got to visit whilst in Milan. 

3rd year photo shoot

Just about two months late on the update from my previous post.
the photo shoot I spoke about in the previous post went better than i thought it was going to. Although I was let down by the hair and make up team the day before, i had to make do with what i had and i did the hair and my friend did the make up. we couldnt achieve the 'zoo project' look i was going for but it worked out all ok in the end. Here are some of my final pictures from the shoot.

ZOO PROJECT

I have a photoshoot next week where i am working with a 3rd year fashion design student. The dress i am photographing is just WOW! the colours and print is soo amazing and its influenced by a turkey.
My in put to this is that i want to base the hair and make-up on the zoo project. Its an event that happens all through the summer months in Ibiza where all the party animals can literally dress as animals I will upload pictures from the shoot next week and expect it to be something like this

Milano&Florence

Ive just returned from an educational trip to Italy with uni. I spent 2 days in Milan and 2 days in Florence. Out of the two I would have to say Florence was the nicer location for me. 
We also had a short lecture at the Istituto Marangoni international fashion school which was really interesting.

A day in the dress

A day in the dress was a small project we had a uni where we were put into groups of 2 or 3, one of us had to be the model and the other has to be the photographer. We could only use a dress and we had 1 day to complete the shoot and have a finalised photograph. We were given an era to research and base our shoot on which we had the 60's. Our shoot was on Worthing Pier in the style of a shoot Vogue did with model Lara Stone on Brighton pier.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

My new years eve outfit. Borrowed from my sister, with my new shoe boots i got for christmas.
started the night with all the girls, all got a big jolly. i think i would say we consumed a few to many pino's
